This Spring I was the substitute teacher for a 7th grade CCD class. 7th grade is a tough class to teach or to be a student in, since the kids generally have a bored-with-it-all mien and there’s no sacrament to focus on, like First Communion or confirmation.
So instead of teaching from the book, and going over the definition of "Eucharist" for the 7th year in a row, I was looking for some other resources, and I found this:
A Catholic Framework for Economic Life
- Contains the actual document published by the U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops. First principle: "The economy exists for the person, not the person for
the economy" - Detailed lesson plan on how to approach the document
- Ties is back to the Bible itself w/o being preachy
