More on the NYT Anonymity Project

So I have been dutifully collecting my "because clauses"– the reasons why sources have been given anonymity in the New York Times.

It’s been a fun project because it is a good expression of the kind of art I have been interested in making over the last few years– derivative works art— art that uses copyrighted content created by someone else (usually a large corporation or other commercial venture) to create my own art using my experience of their content as a basis.

You can keep up with anonymity because clauses in the Linklog here in the middle column of my site, you can subscribe to my linklog feed, you can connect directly to me in Yahoo! My Web 2.0 (which I use to store the annontations), or you can just check out my nyt-anonymity page there.
