The world economy has made crazy strides in increasing productivity. The rise of computers, software, the internet, and global competition all have contributed to this.
It seems to me that one area of the economy that has stayed basically the same: delivery.
Sure– logisitics systems, GPS, and other technology makes it easier to track where trucks are and can place large bundles where they need to go.
But in the end, almost always, someone has to put things on a truck, drive it somewhere else, and take it off the truck.
