It’s not easy being a judge. Judges are held out, held up, and looked to do make the decisions for us. To interpret our own scribbles. To give us what we deserve.
It hasn’t been a great week for judges. I pray for my fellow Chicagoans, the family of Michael F. Lefkow and Donna Humphrey, and my fellow world citizens, the family of Parwiz Muhammad Mahmoud al-Merani and his son, Aryan Mahmoud al-Merani.
It’s not easy being alive right now, in all sorts of places. Comfort.
