There’s a goodly amount of space-making going on in this previously differentiated, now-contiguous parcel of land at the Southwest corner of Diversey and California in Chicago. Here are the relevant demolition permit records.
This project includes the removal of 2742 N. California Ave., 2740 North California Ave., 2738 N. California Ave., and 2732 N. California Ave.. It costs $10,000 a piece to demolish and remove each of these properties.
The project also includes the former Mobil gas station at 2801 W. Diversey Ave. Here’s a complete set of photos of the demolition of all of the buildings.
