Today I launched a new website for a friend and a great artist, Andy Kane Art. It’s just our first day– more images to come, but it has some good stuff in there already. Here are details:
- Site is built on WordPress and uses the Hemingway theme. It’s not easy to do something unique these days with a weblog theme, but Hemingway does it
- I use the WordPress Contact Form plugin– crazy simple to configure
- Then we use the Flickrrss plugin to deliver all Flickr images tagged with "andykane"
- We’ve got a non-blowhard artist’s statement (not a common thing), a contact form to get in touch with Andy (for those of you who know him, you know that’s not an easy task) and a quick form for inquiring about a commission
- Soon we’ll have Andy’s poetry book manuscript, more images from his show at unfoundart, and a yellow rider sketch for the site
- If you have images of Andy Kane art you have, post them!
