The following are the titles of Bills introduced in City Council on November 20, 2008

Bill No. 080896:  “An Ordinance authorizing the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development to purchase a certain tract of land with the improvements thereon in the area bounded by 46th Street, Market Street, Haverford Avenue, and 48th Street, subject to the terms and conditions of the Philadelphia Industrial and Commercial Development Agreement between the City, the PAID, and the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation, under certain additional terms and conditions.”

Bill No. 080897: “An Ordinance authorizing transfers in appropriations for Fiscal Year 2008 within the Aviation Fund from certain or all City offices, departments, boards and commissions to certain or all City offices, departments, boards and commissions.”

Bill No. 080898:  “An Ordinance authorizing transfers in appropriations for Fiscal Year 2008 within the General Fund from certain or all City offices, departments, boards and commissions to certain or all City offices, departments, boards and commissions.”

Bill No. 080899:  “An Ordinance authorizing transfers in appropriations for Fiscal Year 2008 within the Water Fund from certain or all City offices, departments, boards and commissions to certain or all City offices, departments, boards and commissions.”

Bill No. 080900:  “An Ordinance authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan Nos. 314 and 356 by placing on the City Plan an extension of Tinicum Boulevard from its existing terminus at Eighty-sixth Street to Bartram Avenue, striking from the City Plan and vacating the legally open portions of Tinicum Avenue from Eighty-sixth Street northeastwardly to its terminus, striking from the City Plan and vacating Eighty-sixth Street from Bartram Avenue to Tinicum Boulevard and from Tinicum Boulevard to Tinicum Avenue, and placing on the City Plan a right-of-way for public utility purposes within a portion of Eighty-sixth Street being stricken; and authorizing the opening of the extension of Tinicum Boulevard through City property; all under certain terms and conditions.”

Bill No. 080901:  “An Ordinance continuing the Chestnut Hill Business Improvement District beyond the date of termination of the district in the area that generally includes both sides of Germantown Avenue from 7640 to 8705, both sides of Bethlehem Pike from 10 to 105 and certain blocks of streets that intersect that portion of Germantown Avenue, and for which Chestnut Hill Business Improvement District, Inc., a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation, serves as the neighborhood improvement district management association for the District; approving a plan for the District, including a list of proposed improvements and their estimated cost, and providing for assessment fees to be levied on property owners within the District; authorizing the Director of Commerce, on behalf of the City, to execute an agreement with Chestnut Hill Business Improvement District, Inc. relating to the District; and authorizing Chestnut Hill Business Improvement District, Inc. to assess property owners within the District a special property assessment fee to be used in accordance with the approved plan; all in accordance with the provisions of the Community and Economic Improvement Act, and under certain terms and conditions.”

Bill No. 080902:  “An Ordinance authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 231 by striking from the City Plan certain unopened portions of Umbria Street from Leverington Avenue to Wright Street and placing on the City Plan Old Umbria Street an Hermitage Street within the lines of the portion of Umbria Street being stricken, all in order to conform more closely to existing conditions.”

Bill No. 080903:  “An Ordinance authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 297 by relocating, widening, and extending Keely Street from Henry Avenue northwestwardly and placing on the City Plan a cul-de-sac turnaround at the proposed northwesterly terminus of said Keely Street, authorizing dedication to the City of the bed of the widened and extended portions of Keely Street and the cul-de-sac turnaround, and changing the name of said Keely Street to Keely Court, under certain terms and conditions.”

Bill No. 080904:  “An Ordinance amending Section 12-901 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled ‘Stopping, Standing or Parking Prohibited at Certain Places,’ by permitting the overnight parking of commercial vehicles on the 600 block of Cheswick Road.”

Bill No. 080905:  “An Ordinance authorizing Philadelphia Regional Port Authority, the owner and developer of 1901 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard, and its successors and assigns to construct, own and maintain various encroachments to be installed in conjunction with a warehouse development, all under certain terms and conditions.”
