Here’s an ad that seems to be more than a century old. It was uncovered last year circa 1900 West Irving Park Road in Chicago. The text says "Gold Dust Cleans and Brightens" and has two racist images of two servant girls cleaning dishes in a sink.
This site explains some of the history of this— "The silly "Gold Dust Twins," who performed as half-dressed,
house-cleaning pickaninnies dispensing commercial washing powder, were
also especially popular."
