Google Reader Beats Bloglines: The King is Finally Dethroned

So I was going to write a post about how Google Reader, after three years, finally convinced me to move from Bloglines for my RSS reader.

I went through Rojo, but got annoyed with the inelegant way it handles sources with tons of posts, NYT Reader, which I like but just never bought into the idea of it controlling all my feeds (they’re a maker of content, not a distributor of it), and even Microsoft Max, which has a great desktop future but just isn’t where I’m going to trust my subscriptions right now. I’ve been around the aggregator block and no one ever convinced me to leave my old standby, Bloglines of Ask.com.

But I don’t need to write that post. Gina Trapani already wrote it over at Lifehacker. You’ve got to hand it to Google– their first take on Reader stunk, but then they got it right. All hail.
