GreenBean For Crazy Detail on Green Buildings in Chicago

Erik Olsen, a colleague of mine who I met in the context of work for the City of Chicago, runs GreenBean, a "news and discussion forum dedicated to reporting on
built, in-progress, and unbuilt green building projects in Chicago". From the site:

GreenBean is written and maintained by Erik Olsen, PE. Erik is a
mechanical engineer, green building advocate, and Green Projects
Administrator for the Chicago Department of Construction and Permit,
where he manages the Green Permit Program. All projects are posted on GreenBean with the owner or architect’s permission independent of the City of Chicago.

The value of the site is in the richly detailed insider perspective, the authoritative research taken directly from the developers and architects, and the link-laden posts that point to all sorts of places to find more information.

Added bonus: the "Doubly Bubbly" brick wall ad in the background on the left, which I added to the Faded Signage pool on Flickr.

All hail GreenBean!
