This is when I became deeply impressed with a log on ice. Dropping, hanging on, soon bottom silt.
This pic shows the in-between time of cold and warm. The metallic cold railings over the marsh that’s thawing from the dock outward.
And the in-between time of multi-animal footprints in snow on ice that won’t be there soon.
