On Saturday I returned to the marsh to find it in full color and full flush.
The expected Fall colors were present:
Orange on top of water:
The browns and yellow of deadwood:
Even stubborn bright green has its say:
Where there was recently wet mud, due to lack of precipitation, there was now wet expanse topped by brown vistas:
The green of life and brown of the autumn fallow-cycle often lived in the same bush:
But we all know who wins this game. Get right with your own chlorophyll, winter is coming.
