Needed: Ping Service for Creative Commons Item Usage

I currently have more than 13,000 images available to the world under a Creative Commons via my Flickr account under the most liberal license available. All you have to do is let people know that you got this image from me, and you are free to use it any way you like.

Over time, my images have turned up in all sorts of places. Ad-filled content farms use them for random posts about breaking up dog fights and tree care, good government groups use them to illustrate their blog posts, and they end up on canonical Wikipedia posts about subjects like The Washington Post (second best paper in the world) and the Zipper (I am too old for this ride now– I learned this the hard way). By dint of being in the right place at the right time, I’ve taken some pretty popular pics of Mayor Emanuel

I love the idea that my work is available to the world. Every time I come across an image that I took used out there in the wild, I think back to the moment that I took the shot and  like

I looked at the Creative Commons FAQ and didn’t see anything covering this (I may have missed it– that is one long FAQ page!)
