The following streets in Manhattan will be closed from 7:00 am to 1:00
pm on Saturdays through August 22 for Summer Streets: Centre Street
between the Brooklyn Bridge exit and Reade Street; Lafayette Street
between Reade and 9th Streets (west side); Wanamaker Place (east
side)/4th Avenue between 10th and 14th Streets; Park Avenue between
14th and 72nd Streets; 72nd Street between Park and 5th Avenues.
Vehicles traveling into Manhattan across the Brooklyn Bridge will be
diverted from the Centre Street exit to either the FDR Drive or the
Park Row South exits from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays through
August 22 due to street closures for Summer Streets. For vehicles going
to Brooklyn, all entrances to the Brooklyn Bridge will be accessible.
The Henry Hudson Parkway ramp from the George Washington Bridge New
York-bound to the northbound Cross Bronx Expressway will be closed
Saturday from 12:01 am to 8:00 am. Motorists will be diverted to the
178th Street ramp.
Two of three northbound lanes of the FDR Drive between East 96th Street
and East 120th Street and the FDR Drive northbound entrance at East
96th Street will be closed from 1:00 am to 9:00 am Saturday and Sunday
for roadway milling and resurfacing.
Stone Street between Coenties Alley and William Street in Manhattan
will be closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm through November 30 for a
pedestrian mall.
Mulberry Street between Canal and Broome Streets and Hester Street
between Mott and Mulberry Streets in Manhattan will be closed from
11:00 am to 6:00 pm Friday through Sunday until September 1 for a
pedestrian mall.
Madison Avenue will have one lane of traffic between East 39th Street
and East 41st Street from 2:00 pm Saturday to 6:00 am Monday, and two
lanes of traffic between East 44th Street and East 48th Street from
2:00 pm Saturday to 7:00 am Monday to facilitate water main
construction activity.
Utica Avenue between Fulton Street and Pacific Street in Brooklyn will
be closed from 11:00 pm Friday to 5:00 am Monday, and Atlantic Avenue
between Utica Avenue and Rochester Avenue in Brooklyn will have one
lane of traffic in each direction, to facilitate MTA construction
activity.
The following streets will be closed on Saturday:
– 46th Street between Queens Boulevard and Greenpoint Avenue in Queens
will be closed from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays through August 29
for Sunnyside Shines BID Weekend Walks.
– Van Duzer Street between Beach and Wright Streets in Staten Island
will be closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays through August 22
for Van Duzer Summer Streets.
The following streets will be closed on Sunday:
– Shore Boulevard between Astoria Park South and Ditmars Boulevard in
Queens will be closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sundays through
August 23 for Astoria Park Alliance-Water Walks.
– Lexington Avenue between 42nd and 57th Streets in Manhattan will be
closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the East 55th Street Conservative
Synagogue-Lexington Avenue Festival.
– 6th Avenue between 36th and 56th Streets, 37th to 38th Streets
between Broadway and Madison Avenue, and 56th Street between Madison
and 7th Avenues in Manhattan will be closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
for the Dominican Day Parade.
– Myrtle Avenue between Forest Avenue and Fresh Pond Road in Queens
will be closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Kiwanis Club of
Glendale-Myrtle Avenue Festival.
