While weblogs have enjoyed a meteoric rise in use and pop culture attention, another powerful and easy-to-use class of software hasn’t gotten the same mojo. I speak here of wikis. The wikipedia pops into consciousness every once in a while, but when it comes to broad acceptance and use, wikis aren’t there yet. I think one main reason is that wikis are about collaboration, while blogs are about the individual. It’s hard er to get going with a wiki. One tool that I have used that makes it insanely easy is PB Wiki. I’ve created my own space there but (due to the phenomena mentioned above) haven’t quite got it rolling yet. But, they wrote to me yesterday and told me if I posted about them, they’d give me double the space. Good idea. Here’s the post. Get a free wiki at PBwiki.com. God bless the internet.
