So I saw a commercial for an exciting new Pizza Hut product called "More4All". Basically it’s 4 separate pizzas with separate toppings that allow everyone in a pizza-consuming family to get what they want in one order.
The ad shows Pizza Hut employees
sorting
family members according to their pizza topping preference. Call me sick, but the first thing I thought of was the separation of men from the women and children in the Massacre of Srebrenica. The second thing I thought of was a few scenes out of Schindler’s List.
Historically, separating families based on some criteria usually leads to some trouble, no? We are a weird peoples, we are.
UPDATE:
So I guess I do have to hand it to Pizza Hut. Here’s a convo I had w/ my six-year-old in the car tonight.
CXO: Well, we could go to Pizza Hut
DXO: What do you know about that?
CXO: They have More4All.
DXO: And what’s that?
CXO: A pizza with 4 different toppings so everyone can get what they want.
DXO: Did you see the commercial?
CXO: Yeah.
DXO: And was there a story to the commercial?
CXO: Yeah, everyone can get what they want.
Effective.
