Here’s news of a cool program:
Neighborhood Housing Services Community Development Corporation is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for StoreWorks-Brooklyn & Bronx, an affordable mixed-use homeownership program sponsored by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. Buildings include a 1st floor storefront.
Here’s an informative PDF about the process, the properties, and the requirements. Here are the addresses of the properties — two in Brooklyn and one in The Bronx — along with some EveryBlock research:
- 395 Saratoga Avenue, Brooklyn: 1 store, 2 residential units. Here are some building permits related to this building from January 17, February 8, and March 12 of last year. Everything seems on the up & up. They did get a building violation notice on December 7 for not having proper guard rails, but they seem to have cleared that up just fine
- 328 Tompkins Avenue, Brooklyn: 1 store, 2 residential units. I gotcher building permt right here. No building violations issued at that address, but here’s a whole slew of red-text high severity violations for work on buildings nearby, including 537 Gates Ave, which seems to have been cleared up
- 614 Courtland Avenue, Bronx: 1 store, 3 residential units. The building permits are all set. All quiet on the violation front
