Weekend Bridge and Street Closures – June 6-7

According to NYC government:

Broadway is closed to through traffic at Times Square (47th to 42nd
Streets) and Herald Square (35th to 33rd Streets). Motorists traveling
southbound can continue through Times Square using 7th Avenue.
Motorists continuing northbound through Herald Square on 6th Avenue
will have more green-signal time. All crosstown streets remain open.

New Jersey-bound lanes of the Holland Tunnel will be completely closed
to traffic from 1:00 am to 8:00 am Saturday and Sunday for repaving.
The project is weather sensitive and closures may be cancelled due to
inclement weather. Motorists traveling to New Jersey during these times
should use alternate crossings.

The Williamsburg Bridge will have two lanes eastbound and four lanes
westbound open to traffic on Saturday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm. From
3:00 pm Saturday to 8:00 pm on Sunday three lanes eastbound and four
lanes westbound will be open to traffic.

The south outer roadway of the Queensboro Bridge eastbound to Queens
will be closed from 1:00 am to 9:00 am on Saturday and from 1:00 am to
noon on Sunday to facilitate NYCDOT bridge work. Motorists should use
the lower inner roadway and enter from 2nd Avenue at East 59th Street
or use the south upper roadway approach from East 57th Street or East
58th Street.

One of three southbound lanes of Route 9A (the left lane) will be
closed from Chambers Street to Liberty Street Friday from 10:00 am to
11:59 pm. Two of the three southbound lanes will be closed Saturday
from 12:01 am to 11:00 am. One of the three southbound lanes will be
closed Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. These closures will
facilitate NY State DOT's reconstruction project.

Stone Street between Coenties Alley and William Street in Manhattan
will be closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm through November 30 for a
pedestrian mall.

Mulberry Street between Canal and Broome Streets and Hester Street
between Mott and Mulberry Streets in Manhattan will be closed Friday
through Sunday until September 1 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for a
pedestrian mall.

One lane of traffic will be maintained on Park Avenue southbound
between 37th Street and 36th Street from 10:00 pm Friday to 5:00 am
Monday to facilitate crane operation for the MTA Eastside Access
Project. The northbound roadway is not affected.

The following streets will be closed on Saturday:
– The 65th Street Transverse Roadway between 5th Avenue and Central
Park West in Manhattan will be closed from midnight to 6:00 am to
facilitate NYCDOT bridge inspection.
– 2nd Avenue between 23rd and 14th Streets in Manhattan will be closed
from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Stuyvesant Park Neighborhood
Association Festival.
– 38th Street, 39th Street and 56th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues
and 6th Avenue between 38th and 56th Streets in Manhattan will be
closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Falun Dafa Parade.
– Bedford Avenue between Metropolitan Avenue and N. 9th Street in
Brooklyn will be closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for Williamsburg Walks.

The following streets will be closed on Sunday:
– 6th Avenue between 42nd Street and 56th Street in Manhattan will be
closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the International Immigrants Fair.
– There will be street closures from 8:00 am to noon Sunday for the Tour De Brooklyn event. See http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/motorist/wkndtraf.shtml for route and closures.
– Central Park West between 59th & 90th Streets in Manhattan will be closed from 8:00 am to 11:00 am for the NY Mini 10K.
– 3rd Avenue between 66th and 86th Streets in Manhattan will be closed
from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce 3rd
Avenue Street Festival.
– 38th to 41st Street between Park and 5th Avenues and Madison Avenue
from 23rd Street to 41st Street in Manhattan will be closed from 9:00
am to 5:00 pm for the Philippine Independence Parade and Festival.
Dispersal will be on 27th and 28th Streets.
– 37th Avenue from 90th Street to 75th Street, 37th Road between 77th
and 73rd Streets, and 75th Street between Roosevelt Avenue and 37th
Avenue in Queens will be closed from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Queens
Lesbian and Gay Festival and Parade.
– The following streets in Manhattan will be closed from 11:00 am to
6:00 pm for the 200th Anniversary of Old St. Patrick's Cathedral: Mott
Street between Canal and Worth Streets; Worth Street between Mott and
Mulberry Streets; Mulberry Street between East Houston and Worth
Street; East Houston Street between Mulberry Street and Mott Street;
Mott Street between Prince Street and East Houston Street.

The times listed for closures for street fairs are for the actual times
of the street fairs themselves. The streets may be closed longer to
allow for set-up and breakdown. Street fair organizers are generally
permitted to begin set-up at 8:00 am and breakdown must be completed by
7:00 pm.
