But I’ve got more stuff. Collected over the last 30 years, tucked info portfolios, and stored away. I’ve made a series of half-hearted attempts over the years to document what I’ve got, but never really pulled it all together.
I’ve been craving to try out Airtable for something, because it looks awesome and made for me. So a few weeks ago I started pulling out every piece, shooting them, and entering some metadata into a base.
I’ve got 351 pieces up & running thus far. Here’s a look at all of them in a table and in gallery view. For each item, I try to list
The brunt of the collection is items “pulled from the wall“. This means that I went outside, encountered a piece of art, and curated it. Lots of the pieces were obtained via “artist purchase” often on the street, my favorite place for such things.
The collection thus far includes 127 gig posters, 36 Arte Agora (art that is made, sold, or placed in the public way), and 8 pieces of spraycan art. I’m working my way through another 521 pieces— more to come!
